Note: I am not the fastest person in this world. I try to live as healthy as possible and stay away from junk food like Oreos and things like that but every once in a while an unexpected purchase happens during the day.
When I thought of breakfast recently, I ended up buying a small bag of Oreos filled with jello chips, for breakfast.
Of course, I tried to buy healthy because, I don’t believe in eating cheese popsicles, but at the time of eating, they looked appetizing enough to indulge in.
I forgot that the above illustration comes from the popular Fast Food Movement website, and just like a fast-food snob would have it, I think those drinks are killer.
They wouldn’t even begin to compare that to a regular McDonald’s breakfast option and believe me, they would.
Sure, they aren’t as healthy as an apple, but once you have the right day for, fast food coffee, and a sandwich, that is another story altogether.
When I think of a solution to my stress, stress eating is a no-no. Firstly, I drink coffee regularly but not caffeinated coffee.
When I consider consuming these things, I don’t normally want to eat them in the first place. I don’t know about you but I feel like the only food I ever eat is the fast-food chains’ offerings.
Some of those foods do taste good but are not for me. I try to look for healthier options of food but they always seem to be other people’s cups of tea. I try to be healthier but it is hard to keep up these healthy hobbies.
This branding of those types of products isn’t cheap, and they aren’t cheap enough. I choose to buy these kinds of foods because I always considered myself a people pleaser.
I am not an addict or anything like that but I do like to be able to partake in a variety of different things that may not necessarily be healthy for myself or those around me.
I remember growing up and I would always get just about anything that was being advertised. Something about seeing a certain food on TV turned me into a meat lover.
Well, food taste goes into that and as a child who came from a lot of the rural parts of the world, nutrition wasn’t even in mind.
I grew up eating the unhealthy junk food I was made to eat, and I had two teenage sons who followed that same path.
What people don’t notice is how unhealthy foods shape a person’s personality and thought process.
In my mind, I am aware of how the fast-food culture negatively affects people’s health, and it made me become a foodie. For my family, the fast-food culture affected my daughter growing up.
She is eating three to four bowls of oatmeal now every day. She was eating more of the fries or whatever else was being served at the school breakfast, and she was eating breakfast and dinner off the side cart at home.
My daughter is now 18, and as an adult, I can pretty much make her eat something healthy. I help with monitoring her macros, and she now eats her oatmeal 3 times a day.
Of course, I would encourage her to eat all her meals at home but if she wants something go for it. Healthy fatty food such as greek yogurt, raw veggies, or eggs will hardly be as bad as having those Mac N’ Cheese, breakfast wrap, and more later that day.
Fad diets aren’t for everyone, but if you can sustain yourself, look to fast food chains for the best quality fast food options that will provide you with good value for money.
